MORE THAN MASSAGE
Most people come to me because something hurts.
Their neck won’t let go. Their shoulder is always tight. Their back keeps flaring up. They’ve stretched it, strengthened it, massaged it, rested it, and still it keeps coming back.
They want the pain to stop.
WHAT IF THE PAIN IS ALSO INFORMATION?
If a friend sent you here for massage or bodywork, you’re in the right place.

Pain → Sensation
YOUR BODY IS TALKING TO YOUTHROUGH SENSATION
Pain gets your attention, but it isn’t the whole story.
Maybe you wake up feeling fine and by 4pm your neck is screaming. Maybe the same ache shows up every time the week gets busy. Maybe everything feels manageable while you’re moving and starts talking the second you finally stop.
We don’t have to decide what any of it means. We can start by noticing what changes.
What makes it louder? What softens it? When does it show up? What else is happening at the same time?
Most of us were taught to get rid of discomfort. Very few of us were taught to listen to it.

Sensation → Pattern
THE BODY LEARNS THROUGH EXPERIENCE
You can understand exactly why you respond the way you do and still feel your body doing it before you’ve had a chance to choose differently.
Your body learned through experience. Understanding the pattern matters, but it doesn’t automatically give you a new response.
When we slow things down enough to notice what you actually feel, responses that usually happen automatically can become visible while they’re happening.
THE SHOULDERtightens before you push through.
THE BREATHstops when you’re uncertain.
THE JAWbraces when you’re holding something back.
Pattern → Possibility
YOUR PAIN DOESN’T HAPPEN IN ISOLATION
When you can recognize what your body is doing while you’re in it, an automatic response doesn’t have to be the only response available.
Where Many People Begin
BODYWORK IS A PLACE TO LISTEN

Come because something hurts. We’ll start there.
Bodywork is where we slow things down enough for you to stay with sensation, breath, movement, and bracing instead of immediately trying to change what you’re feeling. This is often where something different becomes possible.
This isn’t about deciding what your body needs to let go of. It’s about learning how to listen to what it is already showing you.
Where It Goes Next
THE WORK DOESN’TSTOP AT THE TABLE

Bodywork is where you learn to stay with your experience.
But your experience doesn’t only happen on the table. It shows up when you’re moving. Relating. Setting a boundary. Being seen. Trying something unfamiliar. Responding before you have time to prepare.
SO THE WORK MOVES WITH YOU.
